DRC Advent Adventure (Dec 10, 2006)
 

On 3 weekends in December, leading up to Christmas, DRC puts on a great program for kids up through fifth grade.  Its called Advent Adventure.  Its a series of fun experiences, including singing, playing instruments, doing crafts in a mocked up market place from biblical times, playing games and generally having a great time learning about the story around Jesus' birth and the times in which he lived.  The program is run by a team of great volunteers - adults and teenagers.  Here are some pictures from the Dec 10 sessions.

DRC Confirmation Class at Overlook Farm (Oct 06)

On October 14, the Confirmation Class, along with several adult chaperones,  took a day long field trip to Overlook Farm in Rutland, MA. This is one of three working farms in the US run by Heifer International.  The kids learned about population, poverty and  the work of the Heifer Project around the world, spent time with the animals, and did service projects.  We had a beautiful Fall day as you'll see in the pictures.
