Missions

Members of the Delmar Reformed Church are encouraged and equipped to share the Good News of Jesus Christ in word and deed. We strive to do this locally, throughout our nation and around the world. Understanding that the Gospel speaks to others within the context of their own culture, we seek to fulfill the Biblical mandate in Micah 6:8 - "To do justice, love kindness and to walk humbly with our God."

We "DO JUSTICE" by raising awareness of humanitarian needs and issues of social justice.

We show "LOVING KINDNESS" by assisting charitable and humanitarian organizations through financial and volunteer support.

We "WALK HUMBLY WITH OUR GOD" by promoting discipleship through education and proclamation of the Gospel.

We strongly value "hands on" participation by our members in the mission field. Our members work and connect with mission programs in nearby food pantries and homeless shelters. They travel also to such far away places as Niger Africa and Nicaragua. In our own country we have worked in the inner city of New York, and at rebuilding sites in New Orleans and Texas City, Texas. Such experiences generate wonderful memories that last a lifetime!
